Well respected French blog and online store La Belle Echoppe brings us exclusively from Capsule Show new brand Arpenteur, whose first collection for S/S has caught our eye.
Arpenteur originates from Lyon and showcases pieces inspired by vintage sports, work wear and 1930s military wear as part of their first collection. The pieces look great and are handcrafted locally using premium cottons, strong seams and natural corozo nut shell buttons: enough detail to satisfy the most demanding clients.
We really like the belt, pictured below, which is made from vegetable-tanned leather, something that the French do particularly well. The leather is hand sewn and its color will change with time and wear. The little protection bag that comes with it is a very nice touch and ‘Le drapeau bleu blanc rouge’ adds character to the item.
Arpenteur’s first collection is available from La Belle Echoppe. As far as we know, only Garbstore will be stocking the brand in the UK.
