Coggles.com has the UK’s largest street style archive. It’s photographer Nick Scaife has met and photographed over 1,000 people -mainly in the streets of London but also at fashion weeks in Paris, Berlin and Copenhagen. Having always been impressed with the feature, we thought we would try to narrow the huge collection down to 10 of our favourites from the archive. We have made our selection’s based on the outfits as a whole, as well as how comfortable and natural we feel the individuals are wearing them.

1. Camel

Smart gangster like tailoring with flecked trousers and long wing brogues are perfectly brought together with a contrasting camel coloured double breasted overcoat.  Well put together and some nice cuts on show.

2. Refined Rough

Navy overcoat, knitted scarf, backpack, rolled up chinos to show those bright socks and brogues. A functional look which mixes contemporary with classic. The worn in Seil Marschall looks fantastic.

3. City Break

We love  a pair of Clarks desert boots especially when coupled with some quality denim. This functional ’about town’ look fits the bill all year round. Beanie hat, cotton blazer, weekend bag for essentials and you’re good to go.

4. Street Sailor

Sailor top, old pair of Levi’s, Doc Martens with a light rain jacket at hand, the perfect outfit for those summer showers and a real timeless look. This is the sort of outfit which will look better with wear. The leather cardholder strap is a nice added feature.

5. Contemporary Vintage

Olubiyi featured in the first Coggles Street Style film towards the end of last year. His style is very unique, a mix of relaxed and tailored pieces which we think works really well. Olubiyi also mixes vintage pieces with contemporary labels from the likes of Comme des Garçons and Nigel Cabourn.

6. Scandinavian Class

Chambray shirt, navy tie, jean jacket, thick navy cardigan with a pocket square, chinos and Common Projects…finished off by a touch of Scandinavian class. This is a strong layered look for those chilly summer days.

7. Clashed Layering

Formal and casual clash in a surprisingly favourable outfit. Wool overcoat and smart slacks are ‘matched’ with check shirt, denim jacket and red patent leather shoes. The wearer is clearly confident in the look- a prerequisite for its success.

8. Simply Elegant

Navy trousers, white tee, navy blazer and derby shoes. This look is so simple yet so right. The grey hair- which matches with the shoes- adds to the outfit. A great outfit, easy to put together, which will never fail.

9. Americana

Plain sweater, puffer jacket, a pair of washed selvedge denim turned up just enough to show the Red Wings. A timeless look straight from America.

10. Best of Both

The elegance of an English mac and white oxford shirt matched with heritage classics such as a chore jacket, jeans and desert boots. This guy has combined pieces from two distinct styles and we appreciate the end result.
