The two of us are currently obsessed with understated quality leather trainers, so when Haerfest announced and presented us with the Alpha Experiment Project (No. 2), we got very excited. Known for its premium bags and luggage, Haerfest is is a label we have grown to adore since coming across them at Capsule Paris- and meeting co-founder Tim Joo.
Tim and his brother Dan told us that developing trainers felt like a natural progression, they were keen to expand their product offering whilst staying true to the Haerfest brand. Making this design transition, they also wanted to translate their underlying aesthetic of ‘familiar yet unexpected’ to their first style of trainers. Understated modern elegance is what Haerfest do best, and thankfully they have not swayed from this with their first footwear- they really are beautiful.
Made of cowhide leather, the low silhouette trainers allow for a perfect balance between a city and town shoe, offering a good alternative to the popular Common Project’s and Margiela’s of this world. Complemented with antique brass tipped waxed cotton laces, they come in two colourways, Ivory/Off-White or Matte Black/Black Marble.
To mark the occasion, the brand has launched a pre-order event in October exclusively through the official website, to promote the upcoming delivery early next month.
