Leather Works Minnesota is a premium leather goods company proud to be part of the ‘resurrection’ of American Made products. With two shops in Minnesota, LWM produces hand-crafted products using leathers from Ohio, California, and Red Wing, Minnesota.
We came across them fairly recently and have been impressed ever since by the unusual selection of leather goods they offer, all at very reasonable prices. We have seen many less durable and less cared for leather goods retailing at significantly higher prices than LWM products, and for that we applaud them.
Scrolling through the shop section of their site, a particular accessory caught our eye: The Cousin Johnny’s Cowboy Wallet. Named after their Cajun cousin Johnny’s wallet, the item is designed to fold and hold your notes neatly. It is one of the smallest wallets we’ve come across- the perfect choice for those who dislike filling their pockets.
LWM were kind enough to send us a sample selection of their products for us to have a closer look at and we are glad to say that we are not dissapointed- the quality of the leather was particularly evident as soon we touched it. Just to make it clear how nice the people at LWM are:- they even specially tweaked the bill fold to fit Sterling notes instead of Dollars- a very nice touch that we feel especially privileged to be recipients of (thanks LWM!). We’ll be using the goods from now on so will feature a follow up post in a couple of months to show how the leather has worn in (we’ve had a look in our crystal ball and we think it will be further good news… but check soon!)
