Levi’s Vintage Clothing released a hardback version of their lookbook a few weeks back, to accompany their Fall/Winter 2012 collection. The lookbook, which features both the men’s and women’s collection, showcases some great images inspired by the cultures of Brooklyn in the 1920′s, the 1930′s boxing scene and the bikers scene from the 50′s- Think leather jackets and turn ups alongside flat caps, grandad shirts and shawl collared coats. The lookbook also features a historical archive of the 501′s throughout the decades, since its birth in the 1890s- in a way that collectors and denim enthusiasts will really appreciate.
The clothing itself is unsurprisingly of the very highest standard, and carries a genuine sense of sympathy and respect for bygone times- a notion that is supported and strengthened by the lookbook.
A real treat.
