Scotland-based design house Method Studio recently shared with us their latest project- the i-Pad Hardcase. The idea came about when husband and wife duo Callum Robinson and Marisa Giannasihave hit a brick wall whilst hunting for a resilient, but beautiful and individual way to secure and protect their i-Pad on the move. As they couldn’t find what they were looking for, they simply made their own.
The end result is a highly impressive hard-case, hand-crafted from the finest solid hardwood sourced in Yorkshire, hand-finished with natural oils and beeswax, and finally lined on all interior surfaces with thick grey felt. As with all Method Studio products, the design and the construction itself are very well executed. The case secures smoothly with the help of a simple brass Sam Browne stud and a narrow strap of organic bridle leather. Branding is kept clean and subtle with de-boss detailing traditionally pressed in the leather strap. It is safe to say i-Pad cases do not come much better than this.
